ASL COMPETITIONS & EVENTS
The Antwerp Students League (ASL) is the biggest competition for students in Antwerp. The ASL competitions are played during the entire academic year or during one semester. The different ASL events are tournaments that will be played in one day.
Note – The UAntwerp Plus Pass App that provided access to sports activities will be replaced by the MOVE App.
ASL COMPETITIONS
BADMINTON
ASL BADMINTON
The ASL Badminton competition is a mixed competition and will be played during the first semester, as well as during the second semester. The winning teams will play at the ASL Indoor Finals for the overall title.
REGISTRATIONS
Registrations for ASL Badminton – 2nd semester are opened from 11/01/2023 until 22/02/2023. Register through this link.
GAMES
After the subscriptions are closed, you will receive an e-mail with the information about your opponents during the group stage. You will arrange a date, time and location for your game with your opponents yourself. This way, you are able to create your own calendar. The games of the group stage have to be played before a certain deadline. The same procedure applies for the knock-out phase.

BASKETBALL
ASL BASKETBALL
The ASL Basketball Men’s & Women’s competition will take off at the start of the second semester. Students clubs as well as groups of friends will play for the big title.
REGISTRATIONS
Registrations for the ASL Basketball Men’s and ASL Basketball Women’s are opened from 07/11/2022 until 16/02/2023.
- Enter your team name and other team information on the Google Forms for Men’s and for Women’s.
- List the times, if any, that you cannot play
- Go to the online portal
- Go to “Shop” at the top right, then click on “View all subscriptions” and there select the product “Waarborg ASL Basketball Men’s” or ” Waarborg ASL Basketball Women’s” by clicking on “Details and purchase”. Check that you accept the terms and conditions and click “Add to cart”.
- Go to your shopping cart and checkout: €50 deposit. This will be refunded at the end of the season to the account of your choice.
Attention! Registration is not complete until the deposit is received.

Games will be played on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6 p.m. – 11 p.m. The calendar will be composed in dialogue with the participating teams.

The ASL 3×3 Basketball competition is a mixed competition and will take off at the start of the first semester. Students clubs as well as groups of friends will play for the big title. Create your own team of four and subscribe.

CHESS
ASL CHESS
The ASL Chess is a mixed, single player competition and is played during both the first and second semester. To determine the overall winner, the winner from the first semester plays against the winner from the second semester. This competition is organized in cooperation with the chess club for students: De Rode Loper.

Matches are played during the weekly chess nights of the chess clubs for students De Rode Loper (chess material will be available), online through lichess.org or an a location of preference.

The ASL Futsal Men’s competition will start during the first semester, where the group stages will be played. During the second semester, the knock-out phase of the tournament will take place.
REGISTRATIONS
Registration for ASL Men’s Futsal is open from July 1, 2022 to October 9, 2022.

ASL SOCCER
The 22th edition of the Antwerp Students League (ASL) Soccer competition will take off on Monday Oktober 3, 2022. The ASL Soccer is the biggest soccer competition for students in Belgium! It is a mixed competition and only accessible for students clubs. There has to be (at least) 2 women per team on the field.

ASL SKI & SNOWBOARD
ASL Ski/Snowboard consists primarily of individual races. ASL Ski/Snowboard takes place on one evening in the second semester.

The ASL Table Tennis competition is a single player, mixed criterium competition and is organized together with Kon. Sevos TTC vzw. The best four players will play at the ASL Indoor Finals for the overall title.

Registrations for the ASL Table Tennis will begin in December. Registrations close one week before the next day of play each time.
GAMES
After the subscriptions are closed, you will receive an e-mail with the information about your game night. The four best ranked players will be invited to the ASL Indoor Finals Day for the big ASL Table tennis trophy.
