SPORT UNIVERSITY OF ANTWERP
Sport at the University of Antwerp is organized by the Sports Office in co-operation with the Sports Advisory Board and student union UA Sportraad.
SPORTS OFFICE UNIVERSITY OF ANTWERP
The University of Antwerp Sports Office organises the operational implementation of the university sport program.
SPORTS ADVISORY BOARD
The Sports Advisory Board is the governing body for the long term strategic planning of the University of Antwerp Sports Office.
UA SPORTRAAD
The Students Sports Union “UA Sportraad” assists the Sports Office with the operational implementation of the sports program. You find more information about the Students Sports Union on their website (in Dutch).
SPORT ANTWERP UNIVERSITY ASSOCIATION
SPORT AT THE ASSOCIATION
The University of Antwerp and the AP University of Applied Sciences are members of the Antwerp University Association. The complete sports program of the Antwerp University Association is part of the Sportsticker+ program. The members of the Association have regular meetings about the sports program of the Antwerp University Association.

FLEMISH AND BELGIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS
STUDENT SPORT FLANDERS
The University of Antwerp and AP University of Applied Sciences are – via the Antwerp University Association – active members of Studentensport Vlaanderen which organizes Flemisch championships for higher education students. Teams of the University of Antwerp, AP University of Applied Sciences and the Antwerp University Association teams participate in different Flemish student championships.
BELGIAN UNIVERSITY SPORTS FEDERATION (BUSF)
The Belgian University Sports Federation (BUSF) coordinates the national student championships and promotes the participation of students in international competitions, organized under the auspice of FISU and EUSA.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SPORT
The University of Antwerp Sports Office is an active member of multiple network and competition platforms.
EUROPEAN NETWORK OF ACADEMIC SPORT SERVICES (ENAS)
The University of Antwerp is an active member of ENAS and attends the yearly ENAS Forum (which we organised in 2011).
EUSA
The European University Sports Association (EUSA) organizes interuniversity championships on a European level. The University of Antwerp participates in these championships when possible. In 2007 the university co-hosted the European Universities Bridge Cup.
FISU
The Universiade (Olympic Games for students) and the World University Championships (WUC) are organized by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). Elite Athletes of the University of Antwerp compete on a regular basis in these Universiades and Championships. The University of Antwerp hosted the WUC Cycling in 1978, the WUC Cross-Country in 1984, the WUC Chess in 1992, the WUC Cycling in 2006 and the WUC Mind Sports in 2022.
